Product Details
As you might guess, Anemone x hybrida ‘Robustissima’ is a big, sturdy plant. It throws lots of lovely mauve-pink, 3″ flowers on stems that rise to 4′. Flowering begins in August and continues for several weeks above large, handsomely lobed leaves. It’s a powerful presence in the garden and a natural companion for long-legged perennials such as Eupatorium.
Formerly listed as Anemone tomentosa ‘Robustissima.’
Japanese Anemones are sensational plants that throw great sprays of fresh, springlike flowers in late summer and early autumn and bring new life to a tired garden. They range in height up to 5′, and they obligingly fill in any available space, though the plant is far too charming to be called invasive. Great in perennial or shrub borders, where they add late-summer color after most plants have bloomed.
