A member of the showy Ladyslippers® series of Cape Primroses (Streptocarpus) noted for their abundant flowers and number of leaves per plant, ‘Blue Ice’ bears lovely blooms in a pretty shade of light blue detailed with darker veins. In winter, enjoy the show indoors. In summer, take the display outside on a shady porch or deck. Shipped in a 5″ gray metal cachepot.

An African Violet relative, Cape Primrose (Streptocarpus) grows in the mountainous, wooded ravines of South Africa, shaded from the heat and intensity of the sun. It’s an easy-to-care-for houseplant in bright but indirect light. Water when the soil feels slightly dry and fertilize twice a month for a long display of open-faced blooms and dark green, strap-shaped leaves.
