A member of the showy Ladyslippers® series of Cape Primroses (Streptocarpus) noted for their abundant flowers and number of leaves per plant, ‘Strawberry Ice’ is crowned in a fanfare of red-violet trumpets etched in darker veins with white accents and edging. In winter, enjoy the show indoors. In summer, take the display outside on a shady porch or deck. Shipped in a basket that measures 7¼” wide x 5¼” tall, including handles.

An African Violet relative, Cape Primrose (Streptocarpus) grows in the mountainous, wooded ravines of South Africa, shaded from the heat and intensity of the sun. It’s an easy-to-care-for houseplant in bright but indirect light. Water when the soil feels slightly dry and fertilize twice a month for a long display of open-faced blooms and dark green, strap-shaped leaves.
