The brilliant yellow, award-winning Jonquil, Narcissus ‘Orange Queen’ has gently ruffled coronas subtly suffused with orange. Adding to the appeal of ‘Orange Queen’ is a lovely fragrance that reflects her parentage (N. x odorus). Plant extra to fill vases in the house. Each stem produces multiple blooms. Heirloom, 1908. Early to midseason.

Daffodils are easy to grow and largely immune to voles and deer. Give these bulbs well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. Once bloom is complete, there is no need to remove spent blossoms, but do allow the leaves to remain in place until they yellow (6–8 weeks). This ensures the following year’s display.
